Linda Marie Sauer, 69, Olathe, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2017.

The family plans to receive friends for a visitation 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at Penwell-Gabel funeral home in Olathe. A memorial Mass is planned for noon Saturday, at St. Paulís Catholic Church in Olathe.

Linda was born Oct. 2, 1947, in Topeka, Kansas, to Oliver and Thelma Taylor.

She moved to Ottawa, Kansas, at an early age and lived there until her marriage to her husband, Jack, Aug. 26, 1967. They moved to Overland Park, Kansas, shortly thereafter and have resided in the Overland Park/Olathe area since then.

She was blessed with a son, Troy, in 1972 and a daughter, Kelli, in 1977. While Linda had many hobbies and interests over the years, she devoted her life to her family. She looked forward to the next get together and was frequently teased about the time she spent planning. She was full of life and enjoyed being around people.

Linda was preceded in death by her dad, Oliver Taylor; her mom, Thelma Brenner; her stepdad, Bob Brenner; her stepmom, Bonnie Taylor; a brother Wes Taylor; and a sister Becky Horton.

She is survived by her husband, Jack, of 50 years; son Troy, his wife, Janeen and their children, Haley and Megan; daughter Kelli Slead, her husband, Dustin and their children, Anya, Dodge, Emma, Abbi, Bane, Darman and Cassus; sisters Jane Boles and Nancy Taylor; brothers, Corey Brenner and Greg Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to either The American Lung Association, 6701 W. 64th St. No. 110, Shawnee Mission, KS 66202 or to the American Cancer Society, 1120 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64105.
