Pastor Richard Landess officiated the wedding.Maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Heather Johnson, Emporia. Matrons of honor were the bride’s friend, Renee Katzer, Paola, and the bride’s sister, Jennifer Jenek, Emporia. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friend, Nicole Stephens, Bellevue, Neb., and the groom’s sister-in-law, Kacie Burkdoll, Waverly.Best man was the groom’s brother, Chris Burkdoll, Melvern. She works as a paralegal for Polsinelli Shughart, Overland Park.The groom is a graduate of Marais des Cygnes Valley and Emporia State University. He works as a systems analyst for Dearborn Mid-West in Fairway.
