The City of Ottawa has designated the asphalt parking lot on the east side of Orlis Cox Sports Complex, Beech Street and K-68, as the drop-off site for live Christmas trees. Signs will be posted to direct people to the proper site.
The trees must be stripped of decorations and free of plastic before being dropped off, according to a city news release. The public should take the trees as far northeast on the lot as possible, the release said.
City crews will remove all trees beginning Jan. 14. Residents need to drop off their trees before that date.
