Frank and Elinor (Thorn) Groshong, Pittsburg, Mo., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 12, 2011, with friends and family at an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wellsville Community Center.
The couple was married Feb. 14, 1961, in Edwardsville.
Their children and spouses are Keith and Julie Groshong, Louisburg; Faye and Jim Jackson, Baldwinsville, N.Y.; Francine and Vernon Bonbrake, Sacramento, Calif., and Charles Groshong, Pittsburg, Mo.
They have eight grandchildren, Daniel Groshong, Justin and Eric Jackson, Travis Bonbrake, Holly Braswell, Roxanne, Chad and Amber Groshong; and one great-grandson, Mason Braswell.
He is semi-retired from his drywall and painting business. He enjoys teaching his Sunday school class, playing the guitar and reading.
She has her own quilting business and loves family gatherings, sewing and scrabble.
They both are active in Galmey Community Bible Church and enjoy fishing.
