WELLSVILLE — The Eagles football team cruised to a victory Friday night in defeating Central Heights High School 40-8. 

Shane Hillman, a senior for Wellsville High School, had 21 carries for 169 yards and two touchdowns. Hillman also had two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown. 

Mark Luedtke, Wellsville head coach, seemed pleased with his team’s effort.  

“We played really well and we improved a lot,” Luedtke said. “We’re peaking at the right time.”

Wellsville plays Osage City next week at Osage City. Central Heights plays West Franklin next week at Central Heights.
