A 51-year-old Wellsville motorcycle rider was treated and released from an area hospital after a two-vehicle wreck Friday evening in Ottawa.

A passenger car driven by Donald Stottlemire, who is a member of the Franklin County Board of Commissioners, failed to yield and struck a motorcycle driven by Tony Ackley, 51, Wellsville, about 5:30 p.m. Friday at the entrance to the Orlis Cox Sports Complex, 901 W. Second St., according to an Ottawa Police Department report.

Ackley was transported by ambulance to Overland Park Regional Hospital, Overland Park, with possible injuries, according to police. Ackley was no longer a patient at the hospital Monday afternoon, a hospital spokesperson said.

Stottlemire, 65, Rantoul, was cited for failure to yield, according to a police report.
