Residents who have brush piles and trimmings to dispose of before winter can drop them off at five locations Oct. 5-6 in Ottawa.

Ottawa Sanitation plans to place large trash bins at the following locations that weekend, according to a City of Ottawa news release:

Former Lincoln Elementary School site, near the intersection of Massasoit and Hickory streets,

Orlis Cox Sports Complex, east field gravel parking lot, near the intersection of Beech Street and West K-68.

Don Woodward Community Center parking lot, 517 E. Third St.

Old Roadside Park Trailhead, east of the Franklin County fairgrounds.

Ottawa University practice fields along 11th Street, east of Mulberry Street.

Residents are asked to limit what they put in the trash bins to brush and limbs, the city news release said.
