Devin Stegner, a student at Central Heights High School, has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts. This accomplishment represents almost five years of dedication to Boy Scouts.

Stegner currently serves as the Troop Guide and the Order of the Arrow Chief for the local chapter.

Stegner has earned several merit badges including SCUBA diving and photography.

His Eagle project involved enhancing the educational value and safety of the Central Heights Elementary School playground by adding a color map of the United States, adding the alphabet and numbers, along with painting the curb to be more visible. Stegner also repainted some previous features of the playground such as the four square and basketball lines. Stegner coordinated more than 100 man hours of service in the project.

Stegner’s Court of Honor ceremony, where he will be presented with the award, is Sunday.
