The Ottawa University baseball team rallied from an 8-4 deficit to force extra innings Tuesday at Alumni Park.
Ottawa scored a run the bottom of the 10th inning to nip Central Christian College, 9-8. Ottawa scored seven runs in the final four innings.
Kyle Pener hit a bases-loaded single to score the winning run. Ottawa started the scoring with a two-run triple by Cody Parks in the third inning.
Central Christian broke a 2-2 tie with six runs in the seventh for an 8-2 lead. Ottawa scored two in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings. Nick Deichler tied the game with a two-run hit in the ninth.
Tyler Wilson pitched a scoreless 10th to pick up the victory.
Deichler and Parks led the Braves with three hits each. Parks finished with three RBIs and Deichler drove home two. Pener and Andy See had two hits each. See scored two runs.
Ottawa (2-3) plays noon Saturday at home against Northwestern College.
