Pearl Nadine Brown, 69, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at Midland Hospice Care.
A funeral ceremony is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka, KS 66608. Burial is set to follow at the Prairie Home Cemetery, Topeka. The family plans to receive friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Pearl was born Nov. 20, 1946, in Topeka, Kansas, to Walter and Ida Brown. She worked most of her life as a factory worker and as a housekeeper. Pearl enjoyed gardening and being outside, garage saling, working jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. She was famous for her cooking but especially for her chicken and noodles. Above all, Pearl loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Patricia (Victor) Lloyd of Quenemo, Kansas, Michelle Anderson and Crystal Maike both of Alma, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Josh (Melissa) and Megan Lloyd, Paige (Ryan) Leonard, Zachary, Emily (Spencer), and Abigail Anderson, and Kyndal and Taryn Maike; four great-grandchildren, Taytum, Lilly, Tucker, and Treyton; three brothers, Leroy (Jan) Brown of Carbondale, Kansas, Gary (Shirley) Brown and Mike (Barb) Brown both of Topeka, Kansas; sister, Carol Boten of Topeka, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.
Pearl was preceded in death by her infant son, James Neill; parents; and brother, Larry Brown.
