GARDNER — The Ottawa High School golf squad finished third Monday in the Gardner Invitational with a 321.

Austin Blaue paced the Cyclones with a 79. Quentin Blaue and Trey Rich tied with an 80. Jeff Doolittle finished with an 82. Parker Olmsted had an 97 and Hunter Peoples, 91.

“Great tournament for us to see where we are as a team,” Ottawa coach Cliff McCullough said. “All league and regional schools participated, so we feel we can compete in both of those arenas. Individually, we are beginning to show some consistency and some mental toughness through the round. Our goal remains to get better with each outing.”
