ALLEN — The West Franklin High School boys track team finished sixth with 39 points Thursday at the Northern Heights Travis Sheeley Memorial Track Meet.

Junior sprinter Josh Napper led the Falcons with three gold medals in the 100- and 200-meter races and the long jump.

“Josh works hard — day in and day out — he’s very dedicated,” West Franklin coach Susan Zentz said. “Despite the cold, windy conditions, we had some good performances.

“Injuries to a few key runners on the boys’ side have affected our relay performances. Hopefully next week will bring warmer weather and everyone will be healthy.”

West Franklin competes Monday in Burlington.
