Two local schools will be host sites for baseball and softball regionals. Ottawa will have a 4A regional softball tournament, while Anderson County has a 4A baseball regional.
The regionals will be the week of May 13.
The winner of each regional qualifies for the state tournament.
The Ottawa baseball team was placed in the Anderson County regional. The Cyclones finished third at state last year and enter the 2013 season ranked No. 1 in the preseason coaches poll.
Central Heights, Wellsville and West Franklin baseball were paired together in the Council Grove regional. Wellsville has qualified for state three straight years.
The Ottawa softball regional will be played at Orlis Cox. Anderson County is in the field.
Central Heights, Wellsville and West Franklin softball teams play in the Burlington regional. Wellsville played in the regional championship game last season.
The Ottawa and Anderson County golf teamsí regional is in Shawnee with De Soto has the host school. It will be May 13.
Central Heights and West Franklin play at the Marion Country Club.
The Ottawa tennis team regional is at Hayden, May 2 and May 3.

Marion: Burlington, Council Grove, Eureka, Hillsboro, Leon-Bluestem, Marion, Osage City, Central Heights, West Franklin.
