Ada Rozella Rich, 86, who retired from Wichita schools as cafeteria worker in 1987 after 20 years, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013.
Visitation with family present is planned 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 10 at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, Wichita. A funeral service is planned for 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 11, at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, 5701 E. Mt. Vernon, Wichita, with burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Ada was born Aug. 30, 1926, to Harvey and Anna (Kester) Rich in Franklin County, near Rantoul, Kan.
She graduated from Wellsville High School.
She enjoyed her family, square dancing, camping and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Dell White; brothers Elmer, John and Henry Rich; and sister Mary (Rich) Travis.
Survivors include her daughters, Rita (George) Creegan, Cheryl (Hugh) Tessendorf, both of Wichita; son, Bobby (Karyl) White, Nickerson; sister, Ruth (Rich) Emry, Calif.; grandchildren, Bryan White and Amy (Leon) Boyea, both Nickerson, Crystal (Anthony) Christopher, Port Richey, Fla.; and great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Aidan White, both of Wichita, Leon James Boyea, Nickerson, and Kamrynn White, Walton.
