Mary Elizabeth Lang, 93, Ottawa, Kan., passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Ottawa Retirement Village, Ottawa.
Family members plan to receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center Street, Omaha. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home.
Mary was born Jan. 8, 1921, in Omaha, Neb., (in a cemetery), the daughter of Alfred and Mamie (Patterson) Rogert.
She grew up and graduated from Tech High School, Omaha.
Mary was a member of Faith Lutheran Church after coming to Ottawa in 1999 from Omaha.
She was a homemaker, wife and loving mother. Mary had many hobbies, including sewing, crocheting, gardening, socializing, playing card and bingo, but she especially loved to cook and spend time with her family.
Mary was united in marriage with Albert John Lang July 15, 1949, in Omaha. Together they adopted and raised three children. Albert preceded her in death Oct. 16, 2009.
Mary also was preceded in death by her grandson, Andrew Beauchamp.
Survivors include a son, Curtis Lang and wife, Barbara, Bella Vista, Ark.; daughter, Stephanie Beauchamp and husband, Gene, Pomona, Kan.; son, Timothy Lang and wife, Monika, Vienna, Austria; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
