9:33 a.m. Thursday, Forest Park, 320 N. Locust St., Robin Ritch, 47, Ottawa, on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of opiates.

11:42 a.m. Thursday, 715 West Second St., James Kotorakus, 43, Williamsburg, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

6:40 p.m. Thursday, 700 block of North Poplar, Patrick Stoneking, 23, Ottawa, on a Franklin County warrant.

1:36 p.m. Wednesday, 600 block of North King Street, a 26-year-old Ottawa woman reported a 26-year-old Ottawa man threatened her, battered a 4-year-old-Ottawa girl and damaged property.

Ottawa police officers issued two warning tickets Wednesday and one warning ticket Thursday as part of its new Street Smart campaign targeted at improving pedestrian and cycling safety in Ottawa.


6:08 p.m. Wednesday, 1200 block of South Ash Street, a 66-year-old Ottawa woman reported someone stole her cell phone.

5:44 p.m. Wednesday, 800 block of North Cherry Street, a 55-year-old Ottawa man reported an unknown suspect stole items from his vehicle.


2:40 a.m. Friday, Logan Street and Davis Avenue, two motorists, Farrel King, Garnett, 31, and Jeffrey Weidner, 29, Ottawa, struck a cow that had wandered on to the roadway near the Logan and Davis intersection. No injuries were reported.

12:50 p.m. Thursday, 1315 S. Mulberry St., firefighters responded to a smoke detector activation. No fire was reported.

Firefighters assisted with eight medical calls Wednesday and Thursday.

4:12 p.m. Thursday, 4452 I-35, Wellsville firefighters responded to a grass fire.
