• 9:53 p.m. Monday, 400 block of South Locust Street, Terry Snover, 43, Ottawa, on suspicion of making a criminal threat, according to a police report.

• 11:52 a.m. Tuesday, Franklin County Jail, 305 S. Main St., Marsha Riley, 24, Ottawa, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 3:04 p.m. Tuesday, 100 block South Locust Street, Alvin Shinn, 39, Ottawa, on a Franklin County warrant.

• 7:43 p.m. Tuesday, Walmart Supercenter, 2101 S. Princeton St., Cole Kelsey, 32, Richmond, on suspicion of theft and possession of marijuana.

Sheriff’s Department News


• 2:23 p.m. Tuesday, Elm Street, a 21-year-old woman reported a past sex offense. The investigation is ongoing, according to a sheriff’s report.


• 1:25 p.m. Tuesday, 4300 block of Shawnee Terrace, a 40-year-old Wellsville woman reported someone entered her garage and stole a cell phone. Estimated loss was $500.


• 11:36 a.m. Tuesday, Indiana and Shawnee roads, a vehicle driven by Bradley Fleming, 57, Pomona, was northbound in the 4300 block of Indiana Road in his 1999 Ford F-350 when it left the road and he over-corrected, causing his trailer to overturn, according to a sheriff’s report. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.

• 6:43 p.m. Tuesday, West 17th Street, a 31-year-old Ottawa woman reported she was raped by a know 44-year-old man, according to a police report. The investigation is ongoing.

• Monday: 1000 block of Poplar Street, alarm; 24200 block of Crescent Hill Road, public assist; 500 block of Main Street, alarm; 400 block of East Pendleton Avenue, motorist assist.

• 7:44 p.m. Monday, 906 S. Cypress Street, firefighters responded to a trash fire.

• 4:06 p.m. Tuesday, 315 S. Main St., alarm system activated. No fire reported.
