Several local students were among the 4,450 undergraduate students at the University of Kansas who earned honor roll distinction for the spring 2013 semester.

The students, from KU’s Lawrence campus and the schools of allied health and nursing in Kansas City, Kan., represent 96 of 105 Kansas counties, 41 other states and the District of Columbia, and 43 other countries.

Area honorees include:

• Allyson Bittner, of Ottawa. Bittner is a senior studying biology. She was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Cynthia Brown, of Garnett. Brown is a senior studying psychology. She was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Kirstin Brown, of Garnett. Brown is a senior studying sociology. She was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Trenton Corcoran, of Ottawa. Corcoran is a senior studying film and media studies. He was named to the honor roll for the School of Arts.

• Eranne Daugharthy, of Ottawa. Daugharthy is a Prof 1 studying pharmacy. She was named to the honor roll for the School of Pharmacy.

• Hayden Fowler, of Ottawa. Fowler is a sophomore studying film and media studies. He was named to the honor roll for the School of Arts.

• Lindsay Frank, of Ottawa. Frank is a junior studying in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Zane Frings, of Ottawa. Frings is a senior studying communication studies. He was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Adam Gillaspie, of Ottawa. Gillaspie is a junior studying in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Bayley Hartman, of Richmond. Hartman is a senior studying elementary education. She was named to the honor roll for the School of Education.

• Angela Horsfall, of Lane. Horsfall is a Prof 1 studying pharmacy. She was named to the honor roll for the School of Pharmacy.

• Harley Knudsen, of Ottawa. Knudsen is a senior studying biology. She was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Erin Kruse, of Garnett. Kruse is a senior studying nursing. She was named to the honor roll for the School of Nursing.

• Anna Mages, of Ottawa. Mages is a senior studying psychology. She was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Caitlin McClellen, of Garnett. McClellen is a senior studying social work. She was named to the honor roll for the School of Social Welfare.

• Melissa Naylor, of Garnett. Naylor is a sophomore studying pre-occupational therapy. She was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Miranda Naylor, of Garnett. Naylor is a Prof 1 studying pharmacy. She was named to the honor roll for the School of Pharmacy.

• KayeLee Olinghouse, of Lane. Olinghouse is a senior studying political science. She was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Amy Scalet, of Wellsville. Scalet is a senior studying health information management. She was named to the honor roll for the School of Allied Health.

• Caitlin Scheckel, of Richmond. Scheckel is a senior studying secondary education. She was named to the honor roll for the School of Education.

• Lyndsay Scheckel, of Richmond. Scheckel is a senior studying nursing. She was named to the honor roll for the School of Nursing.

• Tyler Sheldon, of Ottawa. Sheldon is a senior studying architectural engineering. He was named to the honor roll for the School of Engineering.

• Katerina Sieg, of Ottawa. Sieg is a junior studying elementary education. She was named to the honor roll for the School of Education.

• Jerron Smith, of Pomona. Smith is a freshman studying in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Dylan Smith, of Ottawa. Smith is a freshman studying in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Andrew Stillie, of Ottawa. Stillie is a senior studying business administration. He was named to the honor roll for the School of Business.

• Mark Stringer, of Ottawa. Stringer is a senior studying economics. He was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Logan Swafford, of Ottawa. Swafford is a junior studying economics. He was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Paul Thomas, of Ottawa. Thomas is a junior studying anthropology. He was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Christine Thrall, of Ottawa. Thrall is a senior studying design. She was named to the honor roll for the School of Arts.

• Shelby Webb, of Ottawa. Webb is a junior studying biology. She was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

The honor roll comprises undergraduates who meet requirements in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and in the schools of allied health; architecture, design and planning; business; education; engineering; journalism; music; nursing; pharmacy; and social welfare.

Honor roll criteria vary among the university’s academic units. Some schools honor the top 10 percent of students enrolled, some establish a minimum GPA and others raise the minimum GPA for each year students are in school. Students must complete a minimum number of credit hours to be considered for the honor roll.
