The June 11 meeting of the Sigma Chapter of ADK was convened at 10 a.m. in Williamsburg to enjoy the quilt barn tour in the Williamsburg/Homewood areas. After the tour, members enjoyed lunch from Guy and Mae’s.
The meeting was called to order by Vice-President Bonnie Walz. Nancy Fischer gave the opening prayer. Roll call was answered by nine members and one guest, sharing their summer plans.
A motion was made by Virginia Cook to approve the minutes, which was seconded by Liz Smith. The motion passed. Cindy Ayers shared the treasurer’s report. Janet Radcliffe moved to approve the budget, which was seconded by Liz. The motion passed.
Correspondence was shared. Virginia will send a write-up to Del Jo Broadrick, state president, regarding the club’s altruistic projects and the children’s literature festival, for the state president’s newsletter.
Liz moved to accept the bill from Therese Payne for the planter she bought for the District III meeting in Iola. Barb Engel seconded the motion, which passed.
Gloria Kruse moved that the club reimburse registration money for conferences after the event. Janet Radcliffe seconded the motion, which passed.

Details for the August meeting were still being arranged.
The meeting was closed with the singing of “The Lamp of ADK.”
