Police Department Arrests

• 7:02 p.m. Wednesday, 800 block of East Sixth Street, John Owczarski, 31, Ottawa, on suspicion of battering a known 21-year-old Ottawa woman.

• 10:12 p.m. Wednesday, 1600 block of South Hickory Street, Joshua Reynolds, 20, Gretna, Neb., on suspicion of possession of paraphernalia and a minor in possession of alcohol, after being stopped for a traffic infraction, according to a police report.

• 11:53 a.m. Thursday, Ottawa High School, 1120 S. Ash St., a 15-year-old Ottawa boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and a 14-year-old Ottawa boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a police report.

Thefts

• 7:51 a.m. Tuesday, 700 block of West Seventh Street, a 26-year-old Ottawa man reported an unknown suspect damaged a door, entered his home and took a TV, valued at $650. Damage to the door was estimated at $150.

Accidents

• 8:09 a.m. Tuesday, Sand Creek and Louisiana roads, a 2006 Mercury Mariner driven by Nancy Enquist, 66, Ottawa, was traveling eastbound in the 2300 block of Sand Creek Road when it struck a deer. No injuries were reported.

• 1:34 p.m. Wednesday, 2400 block of K-68, a 2001 Dodge Dakota driven by Raydell Garber, 55, Quenemo, was traveling eastbound in the 2400 block of K-68, west of Ottawa, when the brakes locked up, causing a tire to blow. No injuries were reported.

Incidents

• 1:16 p.m. Wednesday, 200 block of East 11th Street, William Keeton, 44, Ottawa, was cited and released on a notice to appear in court for harboring a vicious dog after the canine bit a known 14-year-old Ottawa girl, according to a police report.

Wellsville Police Department News

• Wednesday: 1000 block of Poplar Street, public assist; 600 block of Elm Street, suspicious vehicle.

• Thursday: 4000 block of Reno Road, assist outside agency.

Ottawa Fire Department

• 5:44 a.m. Thursday, 911 N. Sycamore St., firefighters responded to a vehicle fire that caused an estimated $650 damage, according to a fire department report.

• 3 p.m. Thursday, 1100 W. 15th St., fire alarm activation. No fire reported.

• Firefighters assisted with seven medical calls Wednesday and Thursday.
