[The following Reader Forum item references a Dec. 24-25 Herald story, “Woman ‘overwhelmed’ by donors’ $1,500 Christmas gift.”]
The story about the grandmother whose gifts were stolen and those who stepped up to help her out exhibited once again the kindness and compassion of folks in our home town.
Being she got way more than she lost, I was wondering if the woman had thought about “paying it forward” to those who are even less fortunate? Charity begins at home, but it should not stay there.
