Jolene D. Burnett, 54, Ottawa, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013.  

Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, Ottawa. Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Burnett from 1 p.m. today to the service hour at Dengel & Son Mortuary, where the family will meet with friends 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today. Interment will be at Richmond Cemetery, Richmond.

She was born Saturday, July 26, 1958, in Ottawa, the daughter of Marvin and Eileen (Canfield) Roberts.

Jolene was a lifelong Franklin County resident, living in Ottawa since the early 1980s.

She graduated from Central Heights High School with the class of 1977.

On Dec. 4, 1976, Jolene was united in marriage with Randy Burnett in Richmond. He survives of the home.

Jolene worked for Allied Signal, formally known as King Radio of Ottawa, from 1977 to 2002 in the test department, Wal-Mart Distribution Center from 2002 to 2005 as a picker and American Eagle Outfitters from 2005 to 2012 as an operations clerk. She also was a waitress for more than 20 years at several restaurants on weekends, including at The Horseshoe, Country Kitchen and Windmill Café.   

She was a former member of the Richmond United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Eileen Roberts; and infant brother, Leonard J. Roberts.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Burnett, of the home; son, Michael D. Burnett and fiancé, Kristina Martinek, Ottawa; sister, Gloria Bishop, Ottawa; four brothers, Ricky W. Roberts and wife, Bonnie, Shreveport, La., John E. Roberts and wife, Kathy, Emporia, Dennis W. Roberts and wife, Lanita, Ottawa, and Roger D. Roberts, Garnett; a granddaughter, Cheyanne Burnett, Ottawa; and a grandson, Dakota Burnett, Ottawa.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Cheyanne and Dakota Burnett.
