Dorothy J. Berberich, 91, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Brookside Retirement Community, Overbrook, Kan., with her family by her side.

Funeral services are planned for 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home, Topeka, followed by burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A rosary is to be prayed at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with a visitation following until 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

She was born Dec. 15, 1922, in Ottawa, Kan., the daughter of Arthur M. and Frances (Andrews) Chambers.

She married Thomas C. Berberich May 29, 1942.

Survivors include her children, Francis Berberich, Kevin (Patricia) Berberich, Connie (Ron) Knight, Donna (John) McCollum and Jayne (Pamela Burkholder) Berberich; sisters, Darlis Hahn, Carolee Ryan and Rosalie Smith; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her son, Thomas A. Berberich; grandson, Chad R. Berberich; sister, Ilo Samples; brothers, Richard Chambers and Roger Chambers; and her daughters-in-law, Valerie Berberich and Vicki Berberich.

Memorial contributions may be made to Brookside Retirement Community through the funeral home.
