Weldon Eugene Hirt, 61, Ottawa, was born June 24, 1951. Weldon’s spirit left this earth Feb. 20, 2013, near Westphalia.  

Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at Washington Creek Church of the Brethren, rural Douglas County. Burial will follow at Washington Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at the Washington Creek Church of the Brethren.

Surviving Weldon is his wife, Donna; four children, Michael Hirt and his wife, Rachel, Christine Bowman and her husband, Eddie, Carol Miller and her husband, Greg, Catherine Wray and her husband, Nathan; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Anna Hirt Beeghly; and a host of family and friends.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Fresh Start Training Center through Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory, Ottawa KS 66067.
