WALTER A. RESNER

Pastor Walter A. Resner, 86, a retired Lutheran minister, went home to Heaven on March 11, 2013.

Graveside services are planned for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Highland Cemetery in Winfield, Kan. A service of celebration is set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Wichita, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Resner; his parents; siblings; and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include his sons, Wally Resner and Marilyn, Ottawa, and Steve Resner and Debbie, Jefferson City, Mo.; daughters, Linda Funke and Ken, Jefferson City, Mo., and Sheryl Deutsch and Brad, Wichita; sisters, Aileen Carr, Wichita, and Erna Schueler and Walt, Knoxville, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established with LCMS Joint Seminary Fund and Camp Okoboji.
