John E. Buckley, 62, Ottawa, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, Olathe Medical Center, Olathe. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa.
He was born April 29, 1946, at Kansas City, Kan.
He graduated from Washington High School, Kansas City, Kan., in 1964.
He was a member of the U.S. Army.
He worked as a mechanic at Amcor Manufacturing Co., Lenexa.
He married Margaret R. Maslak Jan. 6, 1968, at Kansas City, Kan. She survives.
Survivors also include a son, Chris Buckley, Ottawa; two sisters; three brothers and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice A. Buckley; his mother, Hattie Lucille (Hicks) Buckley; a son, Brian K. Buckley; two sisters and a brother.
Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.
Friends may pay their respects from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Family will meet with friends from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
