EVA L. HARVEY

EVA L. HARVEY Eva L. Harvey, 88, Andover, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at her daughter’s home in Baldwin City following an illness. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Andover Cemetery, Andover.

She was born August 10, 1919, at Republic to James L. and Neva (Beck) Taylor.

She attended Prairie Dell country school and graduated from Republic High School, Republic.  She attended Kansas Wesleyan College and obtained credits to receive a certificate to teach school.

She was a longtime member of Andover United Methodist Church, Andover. She was active in the HDU unit in Butler County and served for many years on the election board.

She taught country school before she was married. She was a homemaker and then worked as a banquet hostess at Beechcraft Activity Center for about 35 years.

She married Harold P. Harvey April 20, 1942.  He preceded her in death  February 2000.

Survivors include sons, James L. Harvey, and his wife, Janice Marcus, Salt Lake City, and Paul Harvey, and his wife, Laurie, Gilbert, Ariz.; a daughter, Vicki Ulrich, and her husband, Marshall, Baldwin City; eight grandsons, Mike Harvey, and his wife, Andrea, Colorado Springs, Colo., Jessie Harvey, and his wife, Ryan, Reno, Nev., Luke Ulrich, and his wife, Laci, Baldwin City, Isaac Ulrich, and his wife, Erica, Eudora, Jordan Ulrich, Baldwin City, Matt Harvey, Mesa, Ariz., Todd Marcus, and his wife, Emily, Salt Lake City, and Thomas Marcus, Salt Lake City; and four great-grandsons, Andrew Harvey, Nathan Harvey, Dane Ulrich and Asher Marcus.
