CLYDE CARRIGER

Clyde Carriger, 75, Melvern, died Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Osage Nursing Center in Osage City.  

He was born Nov. 24, 1933, in Kansas City, Kan., to Eloid and Cleda Hankins Carriger.

He was a lineman for Southwestern Bell Telephone and Lucent Technologies until retiring.

 He had served in the U.S. Army.  

Survivors include a son, Michael Carriger, of Melvern; a daughter, Beverly Ellis; three sisters, Jeannette Brown, of Bartlesville, Okla., Mary DuBois of Independence, Mo.. and Mikal Seever, of Kansas City, Kan.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather for a celebration of  life from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday, July 4, 2009 at the home of his son, Mike Carriger, at 520 NW Emporia, Melvern KS.
