JOANNE BURNS

JOANNE BURNS Joanne Burns, 67, Ottawa, died Thursday, July 2, 2009. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Ottawa.

She was born on Thursday, Feb. 19, 1942, at Boston, Mass., to John B. and Margaret D. (McAuliffe) Colbath.

She worked as a nurse.

She married Lyle G. Burns Friday, June 27, 1974, at Denver, Colo. He survives.

Survivors also include a daughter, Leslie Jones, Westminster, Colo.; stepdaughters, Connie Crumbaker, Arvada, Colo., Bonnie Burns, Ottawa, and Jackie Vowles, Highlands Ranch, Colo.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Giunchetto.

Cremation is planned.

A private family inurnment will be at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona.
