NORMA LOIS (EDWARDS) DODD

Norma Lois (Edwards) Dodd, 87, Kansas City, Kan., passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Bickford of Overland Park.

Visitation is planned for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Highland Park Funeral Home, 4100 State Ave., Kansas City, Kan. Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at the funeral home.

Norma was born Dec. 6, 1924, in Ottawa, Kan., to Marvin and Nellie (Beavers) Edwards.

A 1942 graduate of Ottawa High School, she married Hulen Leslie Dodd Jr. July 16, 1948.

Norma was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease at age 84.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.L. Dodd Jr.; and her sister, Ruth (Edwards) LaGrandeur, and husband, Bob.

Survivors include her brother, Kenneth Edwards, and wife, Almeda; brother-in-law, Jim Dodd, and wife, Raylene; two children, Sharri Orndorff and John, and wife, Brenda; and four grandchildren, Christi Orem and husband, Sean, Beth Oelschlaeger and husband, Clint, Shawn Dodd and Shelina Overbaugh.
