The Rev. Yorton Clark Sr., 84, Olathe, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at the Olathe Wesleyan Church, 15320 S. Ridgeview Road, Olathe. Pastor Jim Wood will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family received friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Olathe Wesleyan Church.

He was born April 23, 1928, in Oshkosh, Wis., to Henry F. Clark and Isabel M. Clark.

The Rev. Clark pastored Cherry Street Wesleyan Church in Ottawa for nine years. He also was the founding pastor of Olathe Wesleyan Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister. 

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Clark, Olathe; five children; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
