ROSA LEE BROWN

Rosa Lee Brown, 72, Prairie Village, passed away Dec. 19, 2012.

Services are planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., with burial to follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel.

Rosie was born Feb. 3, 1940, in Homewood, to Virgie and James Meyer.

She graduated from Ottawa High School, Ottawa, in 1958. She then went to school at St. Luke’s Hospital to become an X-ray technologist.  

Rosie worked as an X-ray tech for more than 40 years in the Kansas City area.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William and Mike Meyer; and her beloved sons, Spencer and Tyler Brown.  

Survivors include her daughter, Tisha, and son-in-law, Ben Welch; and loving grandchildren, Henry, Parker and Lily; brothers, Ken Meyer and wife, Mary Jo, and Jim Meyer and wife, Celeste; sister, Alice Colas and husband, Ralph; and many nieces and nephews, cousins and amazing friends.
