LEONARD EUGENE BUEHLER

Leonard Eugene Buehler, 77, Wellsville, passed away Dec. 24, 2012, at the Baldwin Healthcare and Rehab Center in Baldwin City. 

Catholic mass is planned for 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Gardner. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville. Interment will follow services in the Wellsville Cemetery. 

Leonard Eugene Buehler was born May 19, 1935, in Verona, Mo., the son of August and Zelma (Logan) Buehler. He grew up in Aurora, Mo., and graduated from Aurora High School in 1953. 

On April 29, 1957, he married Olive Ann Eppley in Aurora, Mo. They were married more than 55 years before his passing. She survives of the home. 

Leonard worked for the Missouri National Guard and FAA as a computer electronic technician combined for 40 years. He started working for the FAA in 1969 and retired Jan. 2, 1998. 

He was one of the original board members on the Wellsville Joint Recreation Community where he served for 10 years in the 1970s. He was a member of the Divine Mercy church in Gardner. He enjoyed sports and loved attending sporting events.

He was preceded by his parents; his son, David Buehler; an infant son and daughter, Michael and Margaret; and two brothers, Gerold and James.

Survivors include his wife of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Donald Edris, Andover; a daughter-in-law and her husband, Terri and Russ Parker, Rose Hill; son, Daniel Buehler, Windsor, Colo.; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Sandy Buehler, Overland Park; daughter and son-in-law, Deana and Jason Miller, Wellsville; daughter, Kaylene Shore, Paola; brothers, Larry Buehler, Joplin, Mo., and Hershel Buehler, Aurora, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
