Police Department Arrests

• 1:42 a.m. Friday, 2200 block of South Princeton Street, Travis Light Sr., 36, Deshler, Neb., on suspicion of driving under the influence.

• 1:44 a.m. Friday, Walmart, 2101 S. Princeton St., Eric Keller, 18, Quenemo, Zachary Wadkins, 18, Quenemo, and a 16-year-old Quenemo male juvenile, on suspicion of theft. The three suspects were arrested after allegedly fleeing the business with stolen property, according to a police report.

• 7:28 a.m. Saturday, 2200 block of South Princeton Street, Timothy Dice Jr., 47, homeless, on suspicion of carrying an open container of alcohol in public.

• 9:33 p.m. Saturday, 800 block of East Seventh Street, Michael E. Ray, 35, Ottawa, on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery.

• 12:37 a.m. Monday, 700 block of North Mulberry Street, Aaron Stevenson, 31, Ottawa, on two Franklin County warrants.

Incidents

• 9:13 p.m. Friday, 1100 block of South Willow Street, a 22-year-old Ottawa woman was taken into protective custody after she reportedly attempted to harm herself.

• 9:15 p.m. Friday, 200 block of East Logan Street, a 29-year-old Ottawa woman reported an unknown subject damaged her property.

• 8:56 a.m. Saturday, 100 block of South Locust Street, a 60-year-old Ottawa woman reported an unknown person damaged her vehicle’s windshield.

• 6:49 p.m. Saturday, 500 block of South Beech Street, a 41-year-old Lawrence man reported he was chased by a dog that was trying to bite him. The dog’s owner, Jeremy Watson, 27, Ottawa, was cited on suspicion of harboring a vicious animal and keeping a pit bull inside the city limits.

• 1:17 p.m. Saturday, 100 block of South Walnut Street, Zachary Mayo, 21, Ottawa, was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended license after he was stopped for a traffic infraction.

Theft Reports

• 6:22 a.m. Friday, 2200 block of South Princeton Circle Drive, a 20-year-old Ottawa man reported an unknown suspect stole his property.

• 2:18 a.m. Saturday, 600 block of North Sycamore Street, a 61-year-old Ottawa man reported unknown suspects stole his vehicle.

Accidents

• 6:46 p.m. Friday, 800 block of South Sycamore Street, a vehicle driven by Lisa Drake, 35, Ottawa, backed into a parked vehicle owned by Tina Caruthers, 42, Ottawa. Drake was cited on suspicion of driving with an expired driver’s license.

• 9:29 p.m. Saturday, 200 block of East Logan Street, a vehicle driven by Michael Sanders, 29, Ottawa, struck an unoccupied parked car owned by Stephanie Rossman, 29, Ottawa. Sanders declined medical treatment at the scene, according to the police report.

• 10:29 p.m. Saturday, 600 block of South Burroughs Street, Deborah Hibbs, 53, Ottawa, reported a vehicle struck her parked car and fled the scene. The incident is under investigation.

• 9:31 p.m. Saturday, 217 E. Logan St., firefighters responded to the scene of a motor vehicle wreck.
