The Ottawa University volleyball team made it a clean sweep during the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season.

Ottawa needed five sets Saturday to complete the 18-0 march in the 3-2 win over Kansas Wesleyan (19-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-20, 18-16) in Salina. It was the first five-set match of the season for the Lady Braves.

On Friday, Ottawa bested Bethany 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 25-14, 25-16).

This was the first time in program history Ottawa went undefeated in KCAC play and enters the KCAC Tournament with a 15 match winning streak. Ottawa (27-5) have won 19 of its past 20 matches. The lone loss was to Baker.

Ottawa will have all of its KCAC tourney matches at home, beginning 7 p.m. today against No. 8 seed Saint Mary.

The winner advances to the semifinals, 7 p.m. Friday against the winner of Sterling College (22-12, 12-6) and Tabor College (17-9, 12-6).

Former Central Heights star Katelin Horstick is a freshman hitter for Tabor.

The other half of the bracket has No. 7 Bethel at No. 2 Kansas Wesleyan and No. 3 Friends vs. No. 6 McPherson.

The championship match will be 7 p.m. Saturday on the highest seedís home court.

Nicole Gingery posted 21 kills against Wesleyan. Becca Colson hammered home 14 kills. Taylor Bridge finished with 13. Ottawa had 69 kills.

Bridge and Katie Jensen led Ottawa with 18 digs each. Kristen Hendrickson had 17 digs and Megan Gillespie, 11. Chrissie Jeannin had 55 set assists.

Colson led Ottawa with 13 kills against Bethany. Bridge had 12 and Allie Arnold, 11. Jeannin had 34 assists and 11 digs. Jensen had 12 digs.
