Sheriff’s Department Arrests

• 11:23 p.m. Friday, 500 block of East Franklin Street, a 17-year-old Ottawa male juvenile was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. The juvenile was released from the juvenile detention center into his father’s custody.

• 1:41 a.m. Saturday, 2500 block of Eisenhower Avenue, Rosa Dunnivan, 40, Ottawa, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

• 12:48 a.m. Sunday, 3400 block of I-35, Cora Hermes, 25, Lenexa, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

• 7:55 p.m. Friday, Franklin County Jail, 305 S. Main St., Joshua Slocum, 23, Ottawa, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 8:41 p.m. Friday, 200 block of East 12th Street, Roger Stewart, 25, Ottawa, and Michael Walters, 29, Ottawa, on suspicion of battering each other, according to a police report.

• 10:46 p.m. Friday, 200 block of East 12th Street, Roger Stewart, 25, Ottawa, on an Anderson County warrant.

• 1:59 p.m. Saturday, 200 block of South Oak Street, Beverly Hall, 36, Ottawa, on a Franklin County warrant.

• 12:52 p.m. Sunday, 700 block of South Locust Street, a 16-year-old Ottawa male juvenile was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his 34-year-old stepfather, according to a police report.

• 10:41 p.m. Sunday, 1200 block of South Main Street, Ryan Michael Skiles, 24, Ottawa, on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped for a traffic infraction.

• 1:58 a.m. Monday, 2666 I-35, Brian A. Epling, 21, Topeka, on suspicion of driving with a suspended driver’s license after being stopped for a traffic infraction.

Thefts

• 9:03 a.m. Friday, 2700 block of Kingman Road, a 53-year-old Blue Mound man reported 10 wheels and tires, valued at $3,000, were stolen from Hansen’s Used Cars sometime overnight.

• 2:11 p.m. Saturday, 500 block of Truman Street, Pomona, a 44-year-old Pomona man reported an unknown suspect stole a mini-bike and a power washer, valued at $900.

• 6:15 p.m. Saturday, a 21-year-old Rantoul woman reported someone damaged the door to her garage and took her dog. The dog was valued at $500 and the damage to the garage door was estimated at $150, according to a sheriff’s report.

Accidents

• 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, 3200 block of I-35, a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Phillip Fleming, 42, Waverly, was traveling north on I-35 when it slid off the road and hit a sign.

• 7:40 a.m. Friday, Colorado and Marshall roads, a 2006 Honda Accord driven by Kasey Rennaker, 21, Kansas City, Mo., was traveling east in the 600 block of Marshall Road when the vehicle hit loose gravel and rolled, according to a sheriff’s report.

Incidents

• 5:57 p.m. Wednesday, 1000 block of South Hickory Street, a 19-year-old Ottawa woman reported two unknown suspects damaged property and entered her apartment.

• 9:19 p.m. Friday, Walmart Supercenter, 2101 S. Princeton St., a 35-year-old Burlington man and a 29-year-old Burlington woman reported they were battered by each other. A police report has been forwarded to the Franklin County attorney.

Thefts

• 1:03 p.m. Saturday, 900 block of North Main Street, a 20-year-old Ottawa woman reported an unknown suspect entered her unlocked vehicle and stole items.

• 10:03 p.m. Saturday, 600 block of North Main Street, a 40-year-old Ottawa man reported unknown suspects entered his unlocked vehicle and stole items. Three Ottawa juveniles later were arrested, according to a police report.

• 12:04 a.m. Sunday, 1100 block of North Cedar Street, a 45-year-old Ottawa woman reported known suspects stole items from her vehicle.

• 1:10 a.m. Sunday, 900 block of North Main Street, a 39-year-old Ottawa woman reported known suspects stole items from her vehicle.

• 1:13 a.m. Sunday, 1100 block of North Hickory Street, a 69-year-old Ottawa man reported known suspects stole items from his vehicle.

• 1:14 a.m. Sunday, 500 block of North Hickory Street, a 31-year-old Ottawa man reported known suspects stole items from his vehicle.

• 5:34 p.m. Sunday, 300 block of North Main Street, a 43-year-old Ottawa man reported an unknown suspect stole fuel.

• 1:33 a.m. Thursday, 223 S. Maple St., firefighters investigated a report of a gas odor, but nothing was found.

• 6:44 a.m. Thursday, 1601 S. Hickory St., activated smoke detector. No fire reported.

• 10:44 a.m. Sunday, 411 W. 19th St., authorized controlled burning.

• Firefighters assisted with 16 medical calls Wednesday through Sunday.

Franklin County Fire Departments

• 2:03 p.m. Sunday, 3364 Georgia Road, Pomona firefighters responded to a grass fire.

• Firefighters responded to six medical calls Wednesday through Sunday.
