LIBRARY LINE: Behold: Men behaving badly

By HEIDI VAN DER HEUVEL, Library Line

One of the definitions of charisma from Dictionary.com is: a spiritual power or personal quality that gives an individual influence or authority over large numbers of people.

After reading “Hellraisers: The Life and Inebriated Times of Richard Burton, Richard Harris, Peter O’Toole and Oliver Reed,” by Robert Sellers, and “Star: How Warren Beatty Seduced America,” by Peter Biskind, charisma also seems to empower those who have it with the ability to misbehave in direct proportion to the amount they possess.
