Braves football team signs Manbeck

Ottawa University football team signed Humboldt senior Jake Manbeck for the 2010-2011 school year.

Manbeck, an offensive and defensive lineman, was a four-year letterman in football and baseball for the Cubs. On the football field, Manbeck was a three-time all-league performer. On the diamond, Manbeck helped lead the Cubs to the 2A state tournament where Humboldt High finished third. At the tournament, he had a .625 batting average with seven RBI. For the season, he hit .524 with 47 RBI.
