Kearsten Peoples was at the top of several NCAA track and field programs recruiting lists.

After all, the Ottawa High School senior is the all-time best girl shot putter in Kansas history at 49 feet, 10.5 inches. She is a two-time state champion in the shot put and once in the discus.
