Brewer leads Ottawa to fourth in tourney

GARNETT — The Ottawa High School golf team finished fourth Saturday in the Anderson County Invitational at the Garnett Country Club.

Ottawa finished with a 324, 10 shots behind champ Louisburg.

Senior Alex Brewer matched his career-best round of 75 to finish third. Senior Jacob Sipple was ninth with an 80.

Others were Zach George, 84; Clinton Moore, 85; Cody Croucher, 86, and Josh Hinderliter, 88.

Ottawa plays Monday in the 4A regional at the Ottawa Country Club.

The Ottawa junior varsity finished third with a 190 Monday in the OHS Invitational.

Cameron Barnes was the top medalist with a 41. Hayden Soph took 10th with a 47.

Others were Levi Kaub, 47; Steven Gansy, 55; Brian Ferrell, 57; Kameron Harrell, 65; Brad Ferrell, 67, and Logan Northup, 77.
