More Ottawa businesses report vandalism

Three more Ottawa businesses have reported damage to windows.

Ottawa police believe vandals, possibly driving a vehicle and armed with a sling shot, have been targeting windows of businesses along Main Street since Friday night, according to reports from the police department.

A total of 14 businesses have reported broken windows.

The most recent reports include: BRB Contractors Inc., 1200 N. Main St.; Gerken Rent-All, 120 E. 15th St.; and Heritage Motors, 436 N. Main St.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or people responsible for the damage.

Police ask anyone with information about this crime to call the Ottawa Police Department at (785) 242-2561 or Franklin County Crime Stoppers at (888) 311-8477. If your information leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a reward.
