COF consumers to graduate program

By The Herald Staff

Bryan Barrett and Theren Weidner, both consumers at COF Training Services Inc. in Ottawa, will graduate this weekend from Partners in Policymaking, a program for adults with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities.

The graduation is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ramada Inn, Topeka.

Earlier this year, the pair worked locally through the program to update reserved parking signs to remove words like “disabled” and “handicapped.” Some signs now only have the international symbol for people with disabilities.
