Ottawa men edge Haskell for first victory

LAWRENCE — The Ottawa University men’s basketball team won its first game of the season Wednesday over Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence.

It was down to the wire as Ottawa won 64-63. The young Braves overcame a 36-33 halftime deficit. The Indians netted just 27 points in the second half.
