Gun report at school a false alarm

A report that someone was picking up a child from Lincoln Elementary School, 1102 N Milner St., Ottawa, Thursday wearing a firearm turned out to be a false alarm, Lt. Adam Weingartner said.

Weingartner, with the Ottawa Police Department, said police responded to the report and determined the person wearing the firearm was a law enforcement officer with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
