June N. Thornbrugh, 87, Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa.

Funeral services are planned for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. A visitation is set for 9:30 a.m. Saturday to the service time. Burial is to follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.

She was born June 3, 1926, in Quenemo, the daughter of Leroy and Flossie Yockey Heilman.

June grew up in Quenemo, graduating from Quenemo High School in 1945.

She had lived in Quenemo for most of her life, but also resided in Williamsburg, Waverly and, most recently, Ottawa.

While in high school, she worked cleaning houses and clerking at Marshall’s Dry Goods Store in Quenemo. After marriage, she was a homemaker.

June was married to Cloyce Thornbrugh Dec. 11, 1945, in Ottawa.

June was preceded in death by her parents; her three sisters, Yuneta Anderson, Pauline Swallow and Frances Harrison; and one great-grandson, Roudie Cowdin.

Survivors include her husband Cloyce, of 67 years; two daughters, Sandra Milliken, Williamsburg, and Ginger Cowdin, Quenemo; her brother, Charles Heilman, Osage City; three grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
