WELLSVILLE — After months of anticipation, a car show originally set for late August is revving its engines for a Friday arrival.
The Wellsville Cruise Night and Car Show is set to return, bringing with it a variety of classic and custom vehicles. Sponsored by the Wellsville Chamber of Commerce with assistance from the Hustlers, a local car club, the show is set for 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday on Main Street in downtown Wellsville, Jeanine Berrier, show coordinator for the chamber, said.
“It will be one of the first car shows of the spring,” Berrier said, noting Friday is the show’s rain date from the fall.
The Chamber’s most recent show brought more than 300 vehicles to Wellsville’s Main Street, Berrier said previously.
Registration for the show is free and set for the day of the event. Owners can park their vehicles starting 4 p.m. Friday. Wellsvile residents are encouraged to move their vehicles off Main Street by 4 p.m. Friday, Berrier said.
Those hoping to peruse classic cars also will be able to fill their own tanks with food from several local vendors and restaurants. The Wellsville Kiwanis Club is expected to sell pork burgers with Ishmael’s Popcorn selling its popular kettle corn to patrons of the car show.
Live music and a raffle also are planned.
“It keeps the money in town that night, and people can enjoy themselves because that’s not money they were planning to have to spend,” Berrier said previously.
