Several local students have been named to Emporia State Universityís College of Liberal Arts and Sciences honor roll and deanís list for the spring 2013 semester. To qualify for the deanís list, students must earn a semester GPA that puts them in the top 10 percent of all students enrolled in full-time undergraduate work within the college and have a cumulative 3.5 GPA for all Emporia State courses.

Area students named to the deanís list and their majors are Taylor Huettenmueller, Garnett, mathematics; and Megan Sprague, Garnett, earth science.

To qualify for the semester honor roll, students must earn a minimum 3.80 semester GPA in at least 12 graded hours.

Area students named to the honor roll and their majors are Jerica Brewer, Ottawa, rehabilitation services education; Matthew Crome, Westphalia, information systems; Ashley Farrell, Ottawa, elementary education; Caressa Fredricks, Ottawa, elementary education; Emily Hampton, Garnett, English; Nicole Hopkins, Ottawa, elementary education; Taylor Huettenmueller, Garnett, mathematics; Katherine Meredith, Ottawa, psychology; Alissa Miller, Garnett, elementary education; Douglas Porter, Westphalia, social sciences; Megan Sprague, Garnett, earth science; Megan Vanderford, Princeton, elementary education; Chelsei Weimer, Garnett, recreation; and Tinika Wheat, Ottawa, mathematics.

Matthew Crome of Westphalia, was named to the sring 2013 School of Business honor roll at ESU. To qualify for the list, students must earn a semester GPA that puts them in the top 10 percent of all undergraduate students enrolled full-time within the school and have a cumulative 3.5 GPA for all Emporia State courses. Crome is majoring in information systems.
