STERLING — The offensive woes continued for the Ottawa University women’s basketball team.

The Lady Braves have yet to break the 60-point barrier in two conference games.

Ottawa fell 66-58 Saturday to Sterling in Sterling. Ottawa shot 36 percent from the field for the second straight game.

Ottawa scored 50 points in Thursday’s loss to Kansas Wesleyan.

The Lady Braves did hit five treys, but it was not enough to overcome Sterling’s 43 percent shooting and a 20-13 advantage at the free-throw line.

Ottawa trailed 36-28 at halftime with Sterling shooting 50 percent from the field.

Ottawa finished with 20 turnovers.

Amber Ramsey paced Ottawa with 14 points and five rebounds.

Shauna McClure tossed in 10 points. Morgan Boore and Kelsi Meier chipped in nine each.

Ottawa (3-7, 0-2) plays 6 p.m. Thursday at home against McPherson.
