Dolores Marie Batrez, 78, Ottawa, formerly of Kansas City, Mo., died April 24, 2013, at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kan.
A funeral mass is planned for 10 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 428 S. Cedar St., Ottawa.
She was born Oct. 16, 1934, in New Boston, Iowa, the daughter of Bartolo Gomez and Pilar Marie (Esquivel) Gomez.
Dolores moved to Ottawa in 1990 from Kansas City, where she had lived most of her life.
During her life, she was a secretary, landlord and bartender — working recently at The Spot and Pepper’s in Ottawa.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ottawa, and the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Kansas City.
She was a member of Toys for Tots and very active in the annual Fiesta at the Guadalupe Center.
Survivors include five nieces and nephews, Linda Campbell, Lakeland, Fla., Steven M. Pacheco, Ottawa, Debra Pacheco, Ottawa, Gary Pacheco, Ottawa, and Laura Clendenny, Ottawa; six great-nieces; 10 great-nephews; 11 great-great-nephews; and eight great-great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Pacheco; and two brothers, Raymond Pacheco and Robert Gomer.
