DE SOTO — It was a tough night Tuesday for the Ottawa High School softball team in De Soto.

The Cyclones came up short in both games. De Soto won 11-1 and 8-7. The Wildcats controlled the opener from start to finish.

Ottawa showed life and fight in the nightcap. Ottawa led early, but not hold off the Wildcats’ late rally.

The junior varsity split with the Wildcats, winning the second game 10-4.

Ottawa plays 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at home against Gardner.
